remember part of this dream was my perspective and part was as if I was watching a movie. The beginning started with myself and a group of friends hanging out at some kind of street fair. We found a quiet, unvisited Chinese restaurant with only one worker inside. We tried it and loved the food, surprised that we were the only ones there. We visited over the next few days (or weeks?) and always enjoyed it. On our last visit we decided for some reason to give the worker, a middle-aged Chinese woman who turned out to be the owner, a makeover of sorts. We did her makeup and ended up struggling, realizing we weren’t getting the result we wanted and were having serious miscommunications with the owner. The situation devolved into a heated argument withe the owner and we decided to leave because we felt like she was getting close to some kind of violent outburst. It became obvious that this woman had some serious mental issues and we needed to get away. Before I exited though, I left her a 100 dollar bill as some sort of apology. Later in the dream, my perspective shifted to watching a young man (who at times I felt was me) in a stadium with friends and family, watching a pickleball tournament. At some point he was convinced to try and join a match with his brother, although he was very hesitant and anxious to, feeling inexperienced. They played a game and he did somewhat well, although making some mistakes. Later on the man found himself in a home that resembled my grandmother’s house. At some point he was ambushed by his brother and beaten almost to death. His brother made it clear that he had left him for dead because he was intimidated by how well he played pickleball and wanted all the skill and popularity for himself. For a long time the man stayed in the house, barely alive and eventually regained his strength as well as what seemed basically like superpowers. He could now fly and had super strength. He immediately went to seek out revenge on his brother, and flew to find him, traveling over large bodies of water and finally finding him at a luxurious, futuristic, humongous resort-like compound. He confronted his brother with his new powers being obvious to everyone. But instead of harming him, he basically verbally put him in his place, knowing that everyone was aware he could destroy him easily if he wanted. Later on in the dream, the man is at the resort area with his girlfriend and for fun, takes her high above the buildings and almost into the clouds, showing off his powers and the beautiful view.
This dream seems to be quite complex and may reflect different aspects of your subconscious thoughts and emotions.
The first part of the dream, where you and your friends discover a quiet Chinese restaurant and develop a positive relationship with the owner, could symbolize exploration and discovery in your waking life. The act of giving the owner a makeover that goes awry may suggest feelings of miscommunication or conflict in your relationships, possibly with a female figure in your life who may represent authority or tradition. The woman's mental issues could signify internal challenges or unresolved issues that may be surfacing in your emotions.
The shift in perspective to the young man at the stadium watching a pickleball tournament may represent a desire for competition or a need to prove oneself in a social setting. The brother's betrayal and subsequent transformation of the protagonist into a super-powered being could symbolize a desire for personal empowerment or overcoming obstacles. The protagonist's decision to confront his brother peacefully instead of seeking revenge may suggest a resolution or acceptance of past conflicts or grudges.
Overall, this dream appears to encompass themes of relationships, competition, empowerment, and resolution. It may reflect your subconscious processing of interpersonal dynamics, power struggles, and personal growth. Consider how these themes resonate with your waking life experiences and emotions to gain a deeper understanding of the dream's meaning for you.
